NZ On Air has a whole new way to help tamariki and their whānau to find and enjoy the vast array of incredible local stories, songs, games and more that is created for them, with NZ On Air funding.
We believe passionately that kids need great content that reflects their culture and identity, and entertains, engages and educates them. Last year we rolled out a new research-led Children’s content strategy, that is platform agnostic. We are now funding content for tamariki on a wider range of platforms – and there’s content across many genres and formats. In addition to “TV shows” there are games, audio content and of course beautiful songs funded through our New Music Kids funding rounds.
With content for kids available across a wide range of platforms, but also with a huge amount of content available to choose from, to help audiences to find this content we're created a directory here on our website. The Tamariki page offers multiple ways to consume the content – if it’s on two, three, four or even five different platforms all the links will be there. This page will keep growing as we add more content.
So bookmark this page and keep coming back to discover more of the amazing content that's safe, relatable, fun and educational and reflects Aotearoa to our tamariki. We reckon they should grow up with a Kiwi accent eh?
