The Round Tahi Guidelines (Information for Applicants) will be available next week on our website

Information for applicants to Round Tahi will be out next week.

The Round Tahi Guidelines (Information for Applicants) will be available on our website from next Wednesday 23 April. These guidelines will give a clear explanation of the applications that will be prioritised across the funding streams in this round, as well as the financial allocations for each.

The round will then open from 9am Thursday 1 May before applications close on Thursday 22 May at 4pm.

Round Tahi Applicant Information webinar
We will be hosting a Round Tahi Applicant Information webinar on Zoom on Thursday 24 April from 3-4pm, the day after the Round Tahi Guidelines are available.

This will be a great opportunity to hear from the NZ On Air Funding team and ask any questions you might have about the application process or priorities for this round.

To register for the webinar, just email funding@nzonair.govt.nz with the subject line ‘Round Tahi Info webinar’ and we will send you a Zoom link closer to the time.

The webinar will be recorded for those unable to attend and available soon after on the Funding page of our website.

NZ On Air Portal

Round Tahi will take place fully within the new NZ On Air Portal.

It is where you will be able to handle all your interactions including funding applications, managing your drawdowns, and invoicing and processing drawdown payments.

You will also be able to manage your communication preferences so we know exactly which communications you would like to receive from us, and ensure we have your correct contact details. If you haven’t done so already, you can update your communication preferences now by going here on our website.

Music applicants
If you are a Music applicant, please note this only applies to New Music Project, New Music Project Kids and Music Features rounds which have been using Tahua for funding applications. New Music Single or focus rounds (New Music Kids, New Music Pasifika, New Music Pan-Asian and Waiata Takitahi) will still use the usual music portal to apply for funding.

Signing up in the new portal
If you have a current live contract with us and/or have been registered with NZ On Air’s previous funding portal (Tahua), you will have received an invitation in the last fortnight with a unique link to sign up into the new portal.

  • If you received an invitation but haven’t yet signed up, check your email inbox for an email from portal@nzonair.govt.nz

If you have not previously been registered with NZ On Air but would like to register or apply for funding, all you need to do is go to this portal link and sign up.

NZ On Air Portal webinar
We will also be hosting a NZ On Air Portal webinar on Tuesday 29 April from 3-4pm on Zoom. This webinar is where you can come and find out more about applying for funding on the NZ On Air Portal and ask any questions you might have about signing up into the portal or making an application.

To register for this webinar, just email us at portal@nzonair.govt.nz with the subject line ‘NZ On Air Portal webinar’ and we will send you the Zoom link for that event.

More information
If you have any questions about the NZ On Air Portal, a good place to start is the FAQs page on our website. Alternatively, you can email us at portal@nzonair.govt.nz and we’ll be happy to help.
