NZ Screen content in schools 2016

This research looked at the use of NZ screen content in schools. What content is used and why, where its accessed, and what barriers there might be to using NZ

The research was undertaken by University of Waikato Associate Professor Geoff Lealand in late 2015 and early 2016.

Through a survey sent to primary, intermediate and secondary schools and some follow up visits, the researcher sought to investigate and report on the use of NZ screen content in NZ schools.

The emphasis was on the key curriculum areas of English, History, Social Studies and Media Studies. Responses were heavily skewed towards secondary schools.

91% of teachers reported using NZ screen content in their teaching.
