Te Kaupapa o Rōpu Pūtea | About the Finance Team

We have a team of Finance Business Partners who sit within the Finance team under Operations, Partnerships and Culture. Each Finance Business Partner is responsible for providing efficient operational, administrative, reporting and systems monitoring.  All Finance Business Partners support the Management Accountant and Associate Head of Finance to provide various financial accounting functions across the organisation.

Koronga o te Kaupapa | Purpose of this role

The Financial Accountant is responsible for delivering high quality financial services within the Finance team. The role assists the Associate Head of Finance to deliver various finance functions and will deputise from time to time as required. Additionally, this role will provide mentorship to the Management Accountant and Finance Business Partners.

Ko ōhou pūmanawa | What you bring

You will be a team player who has a knack for supporting others. A great listener and communicator who is confident working across all levels within an organisation and with our stakeholders.

You will have demonstrated experience of public sector financial practices and the Public Finance Act, as well as experience with New Zealand’s taxation system.

Rebate experience would be an advantage, to provide financial oversight as required, plus good analytical skills and the ability to analyse problems and formulate well-reasoned solutions.

You will have thorough knowledge and demonstrable competence in financial accounting practices and procedures as well as CA membership with Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand, or the equivalent, for a minimum of three years.

A passion for the public media screen and music content and/or games would be an advantage as well as a commitment to working in an organisation which supports the Crown as a Treaty partner.
