NewTracks

NewTracks is an online monthly compilation of new songs from local artists that NZ On Air distributes to media in Aotearoa and Australia. Our aim is to get more local music featured on those platforms, with our focus being:

• radio stations
• broadcast media
• streaming media
• online media.

Each month, we feature 50 songs of both NZ On Air funded and non-funded singles to encourage broadcasters and media to feature more New Zealand music releases.

The aim is to connect quality New Zealand songs with audiences wherever they may be listening. Selection for NewTracks is based on the airplay and online potential for the song, and having a strategic release plan around the single.

To be included on NewTracks, you need to submit an application. See below for application details.

NewTracks Kids is our targeted children's music version of our regular NewTracks compilation.

It is an online bi-annual compilation of new songs from local children's musicians that NZ On Air distributes in the hopes to get more local music featured on media and platforms.

To apply for NewTracks , you will need:

• an MP3 of your song
• cover image art in JPEG or PNG to go alongside your song
• release information, web links and artist background information to help promote the song

Once the Music Team has assessed the round, and if your song has been selected, you will receive an email with a unique link to upload:

• a high quality WAV file of your song
• a high quality press image of the artist/band applying
